CHOOSING A CHILD CARE CENTER
understanding of most key questions and concerns,
issues that carry the most weight in making or break-
ing an educational experience for families, and topics
that you shouldn’t forget to address.
When selecting the program that is right for you,
it is also important to have a full understanding of the
developmental process that your child will be going
through from birth through their preschool years.
Understanding this will help you to be better pre-
pared for and engaged in your child’s growth and
development as well as maintain a stronger partner-
ship with your child’s teachers along the way.
My hope is that this book helps you feel confident
and excited about venturing into the child care
selection process and that you can make your deci-
sion with peace of mind. To help with this, I have
broken down the main content into what I call the “7
Critical Criteria for Choosing a Child Care Center.”
There is SO much more to the world of early
education and preschool than just “price and loca-
tion.” Let’s get started!
