ability to communicate with their child’s center while
away at work.
Centers will vary on what types of things they
communicate via their parent communication app, so
be sure to ask for clarity regarding it. Oftentimes,
centers will also utilize email broadcasts and take-
home flyers to communicate center-wide information
and news. Anything that is considered to be an
emergency or urgent news, such as an injury or
school closure, should be communicated via a phone
call in order to confirm that family members have
received the information.
If at any point you have any feedback to provide
to your school’s administration team regarding their
communication methods, whether it be positive or
negative feedback, let them know. They will appreci-
ate hearing your feedback and will be happy to be
given the opportunity to improve on how they com-
municate if they can.
A trustworthy child care center that is looking to
truly build meaningful and lasting relationships with
families and provide high-quality care will be happy
to receive feedback on any aspect of their program. A
great center will not only always openly accept feed-
back but will also regularly invite it through the form
of surveys and routine check-ins. Chances are more
